Tino took an interest in guitar playing when he was 16 years old, a while back! In his last year at school he built an electric guitar.
He then went on to college where he met Peter Moore, a follow guitarist and fan of Status Quo. This was around the time when twin guitar bands came to fore, while Thin Lizzy & Wishbone Ash became major influences.
From there Praying Mantis was born, more information can be found at www.praying-mantis.com Mantis became one of the pioneers of the NWOBHM. From these roots a family tree was born which included certain members of Paddy Goes To Holyhead. Tino joined the band in late '87, replacing Andy Scott who was too busy with his production work to continue. After about 18 months he left Paddy to form The Wandering Crutchlees with Mal McNulty & Jeff Brown, who by this time were involved in Andy's new look Sweet, and Bruce Bisland. In 1990 Praying Mantis were invited to Japan, where they have a loyal following, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of NWOBHM. Tino and Danny remained good friends through the years and hooked up again in 1999 when they formed 'The Glam Stars', along with his brother Chris, Mal McNulty and former Mantis drummer Dave Potts. The band only done a handful of shows, while P.G.T.H. was between gigs, after which Danny invited both Tino & Chris to join him in the new look Paddy Goes To Holyhead.
